Welcome to the Journal of Association of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics
The Gujarat Journal of the Association of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics is an accessible, peer-reviewed publication that aims to publish top-notch original research to spread clinical and scientific knowledge. Every manuscript goes through a peer review process. In the fields of practical materials science, bioengineering, epidemiology, and social science pertinent to conservative dentistry and endodontics, original scientific publications, case reports, case series, and review articles are published. The journal's goal is to publish works that serve as a source of thorough knowledge by showcasing the variety of conservative dentistry and endodontics as well as clinical expertise, creativity, and idea generation.
The Peer Review Procedure
A double-blind review process is applied to each and every manuscript. It is
guaranteed that neither the authors' names nor the institutions where their study is
being conducted will be known to the reviewers. An initial check is made to ensure
that all author instructions are followed and submission standards are met, and the
article will go through a comprehensive plagiarism check upon submission. If
necessary to comply with journal guidelines, the manuscript may be sent back to the
author for revisions. Within a week of confirmation, the article undergoes editorial
review. Afterwards, it will be sent for peer review, which takes six to eight weeks,
and the editors will send the authors a letter with the manuscript's final
decision.
The managing editor overseeing the initial material check reviews the draft for all
necessary elements and authorizes the next stage. The Editor-in-Chief then assesses
its suitability for ACDEG-J's core readership. Once deemed appropriate, it is
assigned to one of the editorial board's Associate Editors. The Scientific Language
Editor reviews it first and makes necessary corrections if the language and grammar
are flawed. If corrections are needed, the paper will be returned to the author for
revisions and resubmission. Unsuitable manuscripts will not be sent for evaluation;
instead, they will be rejected promptly, with authors notified. A letter of
permission from the institution's ethical committee or a declaration that the
Institutional Review Board has waived informed consent must accompany manuscripts
describing original research involving humans and animals.
